The Phantom of the Opera is based on the horror novel from 1910 by Gaston Leroux, which has been adapted into a great many films. Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a deformed composer who haunts the grand Paris Opera House. He keeps himself sheltered from the outside world in an underground cavern, this lonely, romantic man tutors and composes operas for Christine, a beautiful young soprano aspiring star.
As Christine’s star rises, and a handsome previous boyfriend from her past enters the picture, the Phantom grows mad with jealousy. Then begins terrorizing the opera house owners and company with his bloody, psychotic ways when possessed with jealosy.
