WEIRD AL YANKOVIC GETS ‘TACKY’ WITH PHARRELL’S ‘HAPPY’

I’m excited to pass along “Weird Al” Yankovic’s first music video for his
#8videos8days project to you. Check out the video for “Tacky,” a fantastically
twisted and warped version of Pharrell’s hyper-bubbly mega-hit, “Happy.”

It has lots of guest appearances by comedians like Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho,
Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal and Jack Black, the video was shot on location
at the famed Palace Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California.

“We’re going to have some fun today!” Al told us before shooting began.
“Thank you, Pharrell; I really appreciate it–you’re a cool guy,” he said as he
exposed that famously wide smile of his.

All through the video we are visually “assaulted” with a spectrum of clashing colors,
socks-and-sandals, Jack Black’s crazy dance moves that him being attacked by a
swarm of wild bees. We loved it … the whole video is so tastefully tasteless, that it’s
impossible not to love. Make sure not to fight over those 70’s clothes at the Goodwill!

Can’t wait to hear what Pharrell has to say about this take off on his “Happy” … but
I think it’s pretty safe to say that he’s going to love it. Who doesn’t love Weird All and
his crazy takes on songs?
